Fire Suppression Systems – Welsh Government Legislation

To reduce the amount of fire caused deaths and in recognition of the life saving benefits of Fire Suppression Systems, the Welsh Government made it legislation that all new and renovated domestic and residential properties will need a compliant fire suppression system installed.

In October 2013, the National Assembly for Wales passed new Building Regulations that require an automatic fire suppression system (commonly referred to as a fire sprinkler system) to be installed in new and converted homes in Wales.
